A "Yellow Raft " was very good. The story is told in reverse in a really neat way. I won't say more as others may have not read it yet.
"War and Peace" is always bad mouthed as long and boring; wrong, its like a good soap opera; I read it in college. Mom, seriously, you'll love the book. Willing to try it?

What?! I'm just telling you what my Uncle Leroy relate to me! He also tell me they just as terrible drivers over there as they is here. I mean, it hard to see that road when you eyes be squinting like that all the time!

ReplyDeleteJohn, I have been sitting garage watching birds, squirrel came racing across the yard mouth full of something as big as a cantaloupe in his mouth, tried to see where he went, failed. Weeds have not totally returned but they are trying. still got bronchitis,no fever, got medicine from pharmacist, havn't taken yet, but is for allergies. Let you know out come.Love Mom
ReplyDeleteGrandma Taylor! Do you think that squirrel had heself an oversized Cheeto Ball up in he mouth? Cuz if that be it, the next time you see that squirrel, tell him that Rondell be hot on his trail.
ReplyDeleteThat lil' no good rascal stole that Cheeto right out my hand last week when I was having me a snack out on the front porch. Then he climb up in that Mulberry tree and taunted me by shaking he tail at me! Rondell be as mad as Cooper's cats!
Rondell, I can really picture that. The birds, squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, are just all having a great time in my yard. Hope you have the same scene, Enjoy.grandma Barb
ReplyDeleteGrandma Barb, honey, I think we got two different scenes up in our yards. While you enjoying the nature, Rondell's yard be full of them pesky, thieving, no-good varmits who trying to get theyselves a nibble of my grub! I'm having to go outside to sit in my lawnchair with my shotgun and an aluminum bat because the war be on!
